13 December, 2024

Tēnā koutou and welcome to the last newsletter of 2024!

December is a time we tend to look back to both celebrate achievements and learn from our journeys. I have had the enormous privilege of experiencing the incredible generosity and kindness of our community, and seeing how hard working and innovative our community organisations are. Together those two threads are weaving incredible magic across Te Tau Ihu through the Community Foundation Model and I thank you all for your support and input.

As we look ahead, we are moving into a new era for our Community Foundation including funding that will lead to significant community impact, a donor network that is vibrant and has an energy that is wonderful to be part of, a forward looking Board that is embracing our future challenges, and supporters and sponsors who have opened doors to new opportunities. We thank you all.

I hope you enjoy the summer and find opportunities to recharge – I feel lucky to live in a region where it is never far to a beautiful view to help top up my batteries.

Here’s to a successful 2025
