Craigs and Community Foundations
24 June, 2024

Craigs is a founding principal sponsor of the Community Foundations of New Zealand (CFNZ) and has supported the Acorn Foundation in Tauranga from its inception in the early 2000’s, which has grown to over $63million in funds under management and has distributed over $16million to their local community. Since 1984, Craigs Investment Partners (Craigs) have built one of New Zealand’s largest investment advisory firms and we are embedded in the communities we serve. We have market-leading experience, and with strong international connections, we provide a global perspective to the heart of our communities.

Here in Nelson, we are privileged to work with the Top of the South Community Foundation (TotSCF) as we understand the importance of assisting communities in the here and now, more than ever before. However, in the decades ahead we can envision a community fund that matches the size of the Acorn Foundation, which will have an enormously positive and lasting impact in our region.

By staying true to our philosophy of investing in quality assets, building a portfolio that generates income today and income growth over time, and having a disciplined approach, we have navigated a difficult investment backdrop and provided a solid and growing investment portfolio for TotSCF.

For people thinking when the best time to donate might be, my answer would be now. The power of compounding can be life-changing given enough time, and giving while you are living also allows you to see firsthand the impact of your gift.

Our advantage is our people, and we're proud of our talent and proven experience. Craigs has been at the forefront of the New Zealand investment landscape for 40 years and we look forward to the coming decades with TSCF and what can be achieved together.
