It’s been a strange old couple of years for everyone in Aotearoa NZ and coupled with the recent weather events here in the Top of the South, we’ve all had a lot on our minds.
The uncertainty that many people have been experiencing has now been magnified due to the terrible flooding that has hit us hard. Our hearts reach out to those that have been impacted.
We are a caring and resilient community though, and it’s been fantastic to see locals drop everything and play their part, mucking in, and doing what’s right to help our friends in need.
In relation to that, and since I started my role at Top of the South Community Foundation, I’ve been pondering how we can help shape and build a stronger and more resilient region for the future.
Here at the Top of the South Community Foundation we want to make a true difference. We have a long-term focus. We want to grow and become one of Aotearoa NZ’s strongest Community Foundations and be positioned to make that true difference.
And it’s YOU, our Top of the South people, working alongside us, who will help provide that difference.
September is Wills Month, and there’s no better time for you to personally think about the positive difference you can make.
We all have local causes that are dear to our heart. Often these are causes that have touched our lives personally. What are yours?
Here at Top of the South Community Foundation we are a great option for people who want to leave a gift to their local community. We’ll receive your gift, invest it through our professional funds manager Craigs Investment Partners, and the income earned will be returned to your community - forever.
It’s that simple. We are Donor Led, and we will at all times respect your wishes.
I’m really proud to be helping grow your local Community Foundation and would enjoy talking with you more about our great giving model, and how you can create your own positive community legacy.
